FAQ's Q: Is the blank paper suitable for fountain pens? A: Yes! The paper is thick & of high quality. Bleed through and ghosting is very unlikely with pens including fountain, and most water based fineliner markers. Not for use with sharpies.
Q: Can I use watercolor paints in my notebook? A: You can do light washes, if you don't mind some warping. Many of my customers do this & are happy with the results - but this is not meant to replace a watercolor pad.
Q: Do I have to use Forest Nine brand inserts with my notebook cover? A: No! You can use many brands of notebooks / inserts

‣ Each individual brass letter is placed by hand ‣ Hand applied heat and pressure is used for embossing to ensure a quality & lasting imprint. ‣ Choose to personalize with your name, date, initials or special words. ‣ The font will be times new roman. ‣ I will choose the size type that suits your request best - going with large or small where it makes sense aesthetically. ‣ All sentence case will be done in 24 pt (the smaller letters shown in examples) ‣ The larger letters are only available in uppercase. ‣ Embossing is available on the front side only ‣ My processing times are fast, so I do not provide photos or a proof before shipping - but it will be just as beautiful as my examples.

LEATHER INFO: ‣ Real thick full grain cowhide leather ‣ The tan and dark brown options will have a "pull up" effect, which gives the rustic dual tones you see with use. If you like, you can rub some leather balm on the front, but it's not required by any means. ‣ Since leather is a natural material, please expect slight variances & imperfections. ‣ Embrace the imperfections and scuffs created over time, this only makes your journal cover more special!

Yes, there are slight imperfections on the cover but it does not take away from any of the amazing quality of materials and strength of the build. The book pages are thick and are very nice to write on. Would absolutely recommend.
